TRAVEL DATES: AUGUST 31 - SEPTEMBER 8, 2019
Applicants must be currently working on the service floor of a restaurant or wine specialty shop
Itinerary includes touring wineries, vineyards, culinary venues, cultural sites, and other destinations of interest in Tuscany, Lombardy, Alto Adige, and the Veneto. Daily winery visits combined with evening wine dinners and other events will provide enrichment trip participants with experiences to deepen the passion for Italian wine, food, and culture. The trip begins in Florence and passes through Verona, Treviso, and Venice. Experience Italy’s many alluring charms first hand and then use those experiences to inspire a love of Italy in others!
Please note that those chosen to participate in this scholarship trip will be representing the Southeastern Sommelier Society and are expected to engage in professional behavior at all times.
This comprehensive scholarship includes:
- Roundtrip airfare from Atlanta;
- Ground transportation while in Italy;
- Lodging in Italy;
- All Meals; and
- Tons of fun.
